When Pratt & Whitney entered into talks with a Russian aerospace company about a co-venture in the manufacture of engines for the Russian market, equipment quickly became a prime issue. Pratt & Whitney expected that the products should be manufactured with "state-of-the-art" equipment. So when the subject of furnaces came up, Pacific Kiln was immediately contacted to supply the proper equipment. After all, Pratt & Whitney is one of Pacific Kiln's best customers, having both FlashFire Dewax and pusher furnaces in their East Hartford foundry.
