EXHAUST SYSTEM COMPONENTS

The exhausting of flue gases from High Temperature Furnaces and Afterburners requires components designed and built to handle higher than normal exhaust temperatures. Flue gas temperatures from these furnaces can range from 1500°F to over 2000°F.

PACIFIC KILN offers exhaust system components built to withstand high temperatures and severe conditions. The diagram included here illustrates a typical example of a High Temperature Exhaust System.

The individual descriptions of the components will make it easy to put together an exhaust system for virtually any furnace.

RAIN CAPS FOR ROUND EXHAUST PIPE

These rain caps are designed to fit on the round steel exhaust pipe sections listed below. They are constructed of 14 ga. galvanized steel and include four legs with holes for attaching to the exhaust pipe. They come in four sizes to fit our standard pipe.

AIR INSULATED ROOF SLEEVE

These insulated roof sleeves are generally used where the pipe passes through the roof. They provide an air gap to insulate the exhaust gases from the roofing material. Consult local building requirements for applicability in a particular installation, or consult PACIFIC KILN for recommendations for installation if necessary. They are constructed of 14 Ga. galvanized steel. There is a 3″ air gap between the inner and outer walls. The overall length is 30″. The air insulated length is 24″.

ROUND STEEL EXHAUST PIPE

These sections of pipe are constructed of 14 Ga. galvanized steel. Each section has a collar which allows sections to connect to each other. They have a nominal length of 48″.

SQUARE TO ROUND TRANSITION HOOD
These hoods are designed to adapt from a square insulated stack to a round steel exhaust pipe. The legs are 12″ long which provides an air gap which allows cool air to mix with the hot flue gases and eliminates any stack effect from the pipe above. They are constructed of 14 Ga. galvanized steel and come in four sizes to match our round and square exhaust sections.

INSULATED EXHAUST STACK SECTIONS
These insulated exhaust stack sections are designed to extend the insulated portion of the exhaust system of our wax burnout furnaces for customers who may want to extend the insulated stacks all the way through the roof, or just up a few extra feet. They are constructed of 12 Ga. steel shell with a 6″ thick, pleated fiber lining. Sections are flanged and drilled for attaching to each other.
